the Bristol Stable Cider Masters
Cider reminds me of my French routes, but living and working in the UK has opened my eyes to the different varieties and styles cider has to offer.
Being a West Country boy cider is in my blood and sticking to my routes I champion cider from Devon.
Growing up 3 miles from Cornish Orchards I thought I knew it all. But currently my favourite cider is the South African cider Granny Smith.
My favourite cider is Sxollie’s Granny Smith, it’s fresh, fun and a great drink to have in the sun.

You’ll easily find us right in the heart of the city, on Bristol’s Harbourside. We’ve stripped the space right back to its bare bones. It’s a warehouse beauty with exposed (previously hidden) brick walls, a very old terracotta floor and striking metal supports. Our open kitchen spans almost the entire length of the building, showing the chefs working in unison to deliver a quick service. Drop by and delve into the depths of cider, whilst taking a relaxing perch by the harbour.
We love our music here. We’ve always got live music on. Dust off those dancing shoes and come on down!
Our nearest parking is on Millennium Square just a short stroll away.
We are Dorset Mind; a pioneering local charity that has been supporting local people with mental health challenges since 1946. We educate, challenge mental health stigma and inequality, and promote recovery by empowering individuals to develop resilience. Our support groups, counselling and accredited befriending service help people regain social skills. We also deliver educational wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces and provide volunteer opportunities across all areas of our organisation.
Proudly partnered for over two years, The Stable and MIND, the mental health charity, are making a difference in our community. We’ve paired with our local branch to ensure that the impact to projects and campaigns is felt by our immediate neighbours.
The Stable’s partnership with Dorset Mind has been a fundamental part of the bars’ identity since joining forces over three years ago. The real difference the charity makes in the local community is something that The Stable truly believes in. Stablehands have run marathons, organised craft fairs, made Christmas decorations, dressed up and given their time to events and drives. Customers are given an option to donate via the card payment system, with proceeds going to Dorset Mind and their projects.
